Friends, Food and Jackpot!
The last couple of weeks have bee filled with friends, food and a little gambling! Here are some pictures to share!
Made some new friends from Austin this week. We stopped by a delicious bite to eat at Bubba Gumps @ City Walk. First of all, Forrest Gump is in my top 3 favorite movies of all time. This restaurant was like stepping into the movie for a minute and eating at Bubba’s dream place. I highly recommend the hush puppies, they are like no one else’s. The food was great and so was the company
I also had the chance to catch up with a friend. We hit up happy hour last minute on a Friday night and it was totally worth it. Sometimes you don’t always take the chance to appreciate the cool stuff right in your own backyard. We went to a bar, a secret bar that requires a password to get in. No idea this place existed- guess cause of the whole secret thing. It was fab and the drinks were good and the bartender was fun. We also caught last minute sushi happy hour. Can we say $3.00 rolls? Amazing. Sometimes you just have to get up and get out
Lastly I celebrated a friend’s birthday at the Casino. Because sometimes you have to put on a pretty dress, high heels, and strut your stuff while blowing hundreds of pennies on the penny slots!
As you can see we didn’t hit it big, but we did it in style!
It’s the little things
I spent some time this weekend hanging out with a friend and all the wonderful children in her life. Her niece led us on an adventure through the woods to show us the secret fort her and their neighborhood children built. It was so fun to see the world through her eyes for a little while.
Mobilize and Recognize
April 10th was the nationwide mobilization for Immigration Reform. We had an event Downtown Orlando in front of City Hall. It was inspiring and a good build up to our May 1st event coming up!

BBoys Dance and the Rhythm Don’t Stop
I am on a quest to do as many random and free things in Central Florida as possible. So naturally last night a couple friends and I ended up at a break dancing competition at the University of Central Florida. It was totally random. At some points we wished we’d have had a drink or two before showing up. Still it was definitely a fun throw back for me. It took me back to my middle and high school days when all my guy friends practiced their moves all day, every day. This wasn’t America’s Best Dance Crew but it was a dance crew indeed. Oh an did I mention it was free? It free and fun…I said a hip, hop, hippitty hop and you don’t stop….
Kayaking in Tandem @ Cocoa Beach
So I had the chance recently to go on an early morning kayaking tour off the river that feeds into Cocoa Beach. A friend and I went and in our two person canoe took off in hopes of seeing an a dolphin or two. Before heading out, the tour guide reminded us that he could not guarantee that we would see any wildlife. When we returned two hours later, he called us wildlife magnets. We saw dolphins and manatees galore! It was wonderful. I did not manage to get amazing pictures of the aquatic wildlife since I only had my camera phone but I did get a couple pics I am willing to share…

Take Me Out To The Ball Game
I spent part of my weekend enjoying America’s favorite past time. It was one of those beautiful Florida spring days and when I was invited last minute to join a friend and her family I just couldn’t pass it up! It was a local game at the University of Central Florida, my alma matter. Here are some pictures ❤
